Dennis Sharkey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 35 years of post graduate experience in the mental health and health fields.
As a social worker, Dennis takes a holistic approach to working with his clients in his private practice as a psycotherapist. He tailors his approach to the needs and preferences of his clients.
Utilizing primarily a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model, Dennis has advanced training at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City. Dennis augments therapy with the use of hypnosis to treat anxiety, phobias, smoking cessation and weight management.
Dennis works with individuals, couples and families, and he is experienced in treating Anxiety Disorders, OCD and Depression. Dennis also works with issues related to sexual orientation, including couples in Mixed Orientation Marriages.
